RUF caused quite a stir during last year's Monterey Car Week when they presented the Bergmeister (Link see below) revealed. In 2023, they will double: with the idea of being equal three new vehicles, the R Spyder, the tribute and the CTR3 Evo. Our focus in the following article is on the RSpyder, a vehicle that does justice to the Porsche 911 Speedster as we should know it. Information about the CTR3 Evo is available instead here and to the tribute here. The design of the R Spyder based on the Porsche 911 is unmistakable and fascinating. A open, two seater The cockpit without a windscreen worth mentioning revives the driving experience of the classic roadster. The Ducktail spoiler at the rear is also reminiscent of times gone by and makes a clear statement.

Instead of Rearview mirrors Cameras on the fenders provide the necessary perspective and while the car obviously shares its DNA with the 911 GT3 shares, it has its own unique look that makes it unmistakable. The bonnet made of carbon fiber not only gives it an impressive appearance, but also serves to reduce weight. Slim, all-round straps are also impressive on the back Rear lights with an LED bar, which extends elegantly over the rear. Not to be overlooked: the central one Thorn in the cabin, which one air intake and chronograph watch houses. Under the hood of the R Spyder is busy 4,0-liter six-cylinder engine, which does not require a turbo. The engine is with a 6-speed manual transmission coupled, which is a real treat for purists.
Technical details that convince
And while RUF is still keeping the exact performance data of the engine under wraps, we already know about some technical refinements: DLC coated rocker arms and variable valve control for intake and exhaust promise a sophisticated motor control. The chassis of the R Spyder has also been carefully considered. He is having a slight McPherson strut front axle equipped and rear provides a Five-link rear axle for optimal road holding. One set provides the braking force Carbon ceramic brakes, which ensures reliable deceleration even at higher speeds.
The RUF R Spyder impressively shows what is possible when tradition meets modern technology. A vehicle that not only impresses with its design, but also with its technical refinements. And while we're still at the RUF CTR3 Evo remember, we are excited to see what surprises the company has in store for us in the future.
