Delta 4×4 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 (992) as off-road model!

Off-road sports cars are currently an automotive trend. Even if the segment is not a new development, sports car manufacturers such as Porsche are using the Dakar 992, Lamborghini, with the Dirt, or Alpine, with the A110 SportsX, again and again vehicles of the rare kind. And while Lamborghini will only be revealing the Huracán Sterrato in the coming days, Porsche has already unveiled the new 911 Dakar. But the vehicles are strictly limited, so that there will only be 911 of the new 2.500 Dakar, for example. And the price is extremely steep at at least €222.020 including VAT, but without the rally design package for another €26.061. With an acceleration from 0 to 100 in just 3,2 seconds and with 480 hp, the new 911 Dakar is well motorized, but due to the Off-road setup understandably electronically limited to 241 km/h.

Off-road look on the sports coupe!

But Delta 4×4 has a solution ready if the 911 Dakar is too expensive or you can no longer get a limited model. The tuner has namely the announced 4×4 upgrade pack for the current 992 Carrera 4, which slightly adapts the look of the Safari model. We would like to present the kit to you today. Of the riser kit (Complete chassis +50 mm & suspension-axle-lift-kit +50 mm), which was developed together with Eibach & Bilstein, makes the body 10 centimeters higher. There is also a wider track at the front and rear and another 4 cm due to the off-road tires. And the 40 also has XNUMX mm fender flares on all four corners in a robust off-road look.

All-terrain tires on 20 inch FORCEBeadlock wheels (optionally the type classic B in 20 & 18 inches) are also on board, as are four rally-style PIAA LED high-beam headlights, which are installed in a special scoop between the OEM round headlights. Six more PIAAadditional lights there is on the roof. As far as we know, almost all components (not the hood attachment) are TÜV-tested and therefore have one street legal. So nothing stands in the way of off-road adventures with the 911 in this country either.

3 liter boxer engine with six cylinders

As standard, the boxer unit delivers 385 hp & 450 Newton meters of maximum torque. This makes rapid progress, because the sprint from 0 to 100 takes just 4,2 seconds. The fact that the top speed does not exceed the 241 km/h of the 911 Dakar is less dramatic. That's not what the vehicle is for. The propulsion of a normal 992 Carrera only ends at 291 km/h and that of the delta4x4 at 210. Whether the off-road coupé from delta4x4 with the chassis with more ground clearance and the off-road slippers (AT tires) can drive even faster is uncertain . The Continental SportContact 6 is installed in the second video, which is not really suitable for off-road use, but works smoothly on the freeway.

Our conclusion:

  • A great idea from Delta 4×4 to offer the current Carrera 4 as an off-road variant. Also the optional one Roof rack and the other light bar (in the Motorvision video) we really like it. We give it a thumbs up for that. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed about this if you simply use our Feed subscribe to.
