BMW M3 (G80) & M4 (G82) with KW V3 coilover kit!

For the BMW M3 (G80) Sedan and the BMW M4 (G82) Coupé, the suspension manufacturer KW automotive is increasingly developing adjustable coilovers. In addition to the KW V4 coilover kit with three-way adjustable dampers, the two-way adjustable KW V3 coilover kit (from 2.669 euros) is now available. The preset, sporty, harmonious basic setup of the KW V3 can be individually adjusted separately in the compression and rebound stages. Depending on the setting, the BMW M3 Sedan and the BMW M4 Coupé have firmer or more comfortable handling. In addition, the coilover kit allows a stepless lowering of 20 to 35 millimeters on the front axle and 15 to 30 millimeters on the rear axle as part of the parts certificate. The KW V3 coilover kit is currently available for the BMW M3 (G80) and BMW M4 (G82) models with rear-wheel drive. The KW V5 Clubsport and the electronically adjustable KW DDC plug&play coilover kit are already in development; while the KW V3 will soon also appear for the xDrive variants of the two BMW M models.

Since its market launch, the KW V3 coilover kit has become the best-selling application of the suspension manufacturer KW automotive. With all KW suspensions from the "Street Performance" product category, the basic damper setup is always designed to be as tight as necessary and as comfortable as possible and is preset during production for the specific vehicle. With the popular KW V3, KW also builds the coilover suspension with complex multi-valve technology. If desired, the KW V3 can be manually adjusted independently in the low-speed compression stage with twelve clicks and low-speed rebound stage with 16 clicks. The KW V2.669, available from 3 euros, is now also available for the BMW M3 (G80) Sedan and the BMW M4 (G82) Coupé. According to the part certificate, the adjustable lowering range of the KW V3 coilover kit is 20 to 35 millimeters on the front axle and 15 to 30 millimeters on the rear axle.

The individual driving behavior can be set intuitively with the KW V3

"Anyone who wants to drive even sportier with their BMW M with KW V3 coilover kit can adjust the preset setup of their KW V3 in just a few simple steps," explains Florian Johann from KW Brand Management. “Setting instructions are always included with every KW suspension; Changing the setup isn't even complicated.” The valve cross-section of the low-speed rebound valve in the damper can be adjusted using the dial at the upper end of the piston rod. The rebound stage influences, among other things, how the body structure is connected to the road. If the valve cross-section of the rebound stage is closed, the handling in the BMW M3 Sedan and BMW M4 Coupé becomes even more direct, which significantly reduces body vibrations. The steering precision also improves noticeably without any unrest in the chassis. Regardless of the rebound, the KW V3 coilover kit offers the option of being able to set the compression forces individually. Higher compression forces on the front axle ensure, among other things, even more direct steering, and higher compression forces on the rear axle counteract oversteer. In the event of sudden deflection, such as driving over bumps, the preconfigured high-speed compression damping allows rapid deflection and prevents the tire from losing grip.

"A BMW M3 (G80) sedan or a BMW M4 (G82) coupe with the KW V3 coilover kit has much more direct handling. The advantage of our damper technology is that the chassis does not appear as pointed and uncomfortable as is always the case with one or the other sports chassis“, Florian Johann continues. "Basically, the KW V3 is similar in its tuning and design philosophy to the BMW M Performance suspension we developed for BMW M for the BMW M3 (F80) and BMW M4 (F82).The KW V3 conveys a much safer driving experience in the M3 sedan and the M4 coupe and the typical oversteering of modern vehicles is much more neutral and easier to control. The KW coilover suspension also ensures a much sportier driving behavior with convincing residual driving comfort - even with a maximum lowering. While the KW V3 is still in development for the xDrive variants of the BMW M3 (G80) and BMW M4 (G82), the KW V4 is already available for the sedan and coupe with xDrive all-wheel drive, for example.
