MANHART SL 700 R Limited 01/10: Mercedes-AMG SL 63 4MATIC+ on steroids

If the AMG lettering appears on a Mercedes-SL, it was previously clear that it was a top model acts. This has been the case for the past 30 years and it still is, although the designation has now changed from "Benz" to "AMG" for all models in general. With this change, Mercedes stands out more clearly and signals an even stronger focus on sportiness and driving dynamics. The latest SL generation, the R232 series, introduced last spring, is a perfect example of this. But as the tuning company MANHART Performance shows, there is still a lot more to do! With the MANHART SL 700 R Limited the tuning specialists from Wuppertal have created a true monster based on the Mercedes-AMG SL 63 4MATIC+.

The roadster's gold-on-black paint finish is new, but the body remains unchanged and has not been given any additional aerodynamic parts. But that's the only thing that has remained standard. In any case, the newly installed ones are the eye-catchers MANHART Forged Line wheels by mbDESIGNthat perfectly match the rest of the car. With 10×22 inches at the front and 12×22 inches at the rear, equipped with Hankook Ventus S1 Evo2 and 335/25 tires, the rims are definitely in a class of their own. And also the calipers the standard AMG sports brake system were customized with a MANHART lettering Mistake. Optional upgrades for the Suspension and the interior are also possible soon and are already being prepared.

Performance that takes your breath away

But of course it is Performancewho really impressed. Thanks to Hardware and software modifications, an optimized one Intercooler, One Air filter upgrade and the known MANHART MHtronic additional control unit the 4,0-liter twin-turbo V8 now brings incredible 707 PS and 935 Nm on the street. Performance is provided by the AMG Speedshift MCT 9G automatic combined with a MANHART transmission upgrade managed and transferred to all four wheels.

Incidentally, MANHART also offers this as an option OPF Delete Sport downpipes with 600 cell catalytic converters on, however without TÜV approval and therefore only for export. And the addition "Limited“ already reveals it: From the beast, the MANHART SL 700 R, it will only 10 copies give. A rare jewel for true connoisseurs and enthusiasts. So grab one while you still can! General information:

Manhart Performance Mercedes-AMG SL 63 4MATIC+ R232 named SL 700 R Limited.
Limited to ten vehicles.

Technical upgrades:

The 585-liter twin-turbo V800 engine with 4,0 hp and 8 Nm has been tuned to 707 hp and 935 Nm by hardware and software modifications.
Optimizations include an intercooler upgrade, an air filter upgrade and the installation of the MANHART MHtronik auxiliary control unit.
Modifications are TÜV approved.
Power is managed by the AMG Speedshift MCT 9G automatic and a MANHART transmission upgrade.
There is an option for OPF Delete Sport downpipes with 600 cell catalytic converters, however these are not TÜV approved and are for export only.

External changes:

The roadster body remains largely original, apart from a typical MANHART gold decor.
MANHART Forged Line wheels by mbDESIGN, 10×22 inches with 295/30ZR22 Hankook Ventus S1 Evo2 tires at the front and 12×22 inches with 335/25 tires at the rear.
Brake calipers of the AMG sports brake system customized with MANHART company logo.

Other upgrades:

Brake and chassis upgrades can be made upon customer request.
Individual interior refinements are planned.
