The image of the typical MANHART conversion that is rooted in the minds of tuning fans usually shows a complete conversion that is both optically and technically extensive: Large rims, often bodywork attachments made of carbon and, of course, primarily the characteristic one Decor set with lettering and decorative stripes ensures that the vehicles are sure to draw attention. Also on the basis of the G8x athletes, the MANHART team has already implemented several conversions following this scheme - from MH3 600 using the MH3 GTR to MH4 GTR II. But the conspicuous, extroverted appearance is not for everyone and MANHART Performance naturally has the right solution in this case too. Because, of course, components from the MANHART portfolio can also be selected individually, more precisely, combined in any configuration - as the MH4 600 presented here underlines.
MANHART MH4 600
The coupé based on the G82 M4 Competition is visually only subtly refined. For example, the decorative set mentioned was dispensed with, as were retrofitted MANHART rims. Instead, the car continues to stand on the OEM BMW wheels: to be more precise, they are Styling 20 M wheels in eye-catching matt gold bronze, measuring 21 inches at the front and 1000 inches at the rear.forged wheels from the M Performance Parts program. From the same also come the carbonFront spoiler and the carbon side skirts. The striking radiator grille inserts, the side fender inserts and the rear diffuser - also all made of carbon - are now from the MANHART portfolio. The interior of the two-door car also remained in the already attractive standard condition, which was designed with plenty of carbon elements.
635 PS & 780 Nm maximum torque
With regard to the optimization of the three-liter S58 biturbo engine, on the other hand, the MANHART team was allowed to let off steam: Thanks to the installation of an MHtronik additional control unit, the in-line six-cylinder increased from its standard 510 PS & 650 Nm to a whopping 635 PS & 780 Nm maximum torque and with it to the level of a standard one M5 CS. The MH4 600 accelerates from a standing start to 200 km/h in just 10,5 seconds. The intermediate sprint from 100 to 200 km/h takes 6,42 seconds. On the exhaust side, the coupé has a MANHART stainless steelexhaust system.
On the example shown, the exhaust system ends in four ceramic-coated 100 mm tailpipes. Alternatively, carbon-coated tailpipes are also available. To round it off, there is an optional MANHARTdown pipes Race without catalytic converters or MANHART sport downpipes with 300-cell GESI catalytic converters. However, both variants have, just like the OPFDelete replacement tubes with 200 cell HJS catalysts and the PPF/GPF deleter are not TÜV approved and are only intended for export.
Sport springs or complete chassis
When optimizing the chassis, there is a choice for the G82 M4 between MANHART lowering by means of H&R springs or the MANHART coilover kit Variant 4 by KW. This not only results in a refinement of the optics, but also - primarily in the latter case - of course also a significantly optimized driving dynamics. Last but not least, the stable BMW carbon-ceramic brake system, which is factory-fitted at an additional cost, remained unchanged on board.
