Morris is alive! 2017 has Qu Li secured all the rights of the Morris Commercial and now the all-electric Morris JE is going to be launched as a reinterpretation of the legendary Morris J-Van. And the idea is not new. Even VW would like to resurrect the bulli as an electrified variant and show how modern retro can be. And now the British are trying too. The New Morris JE Bulli is said to be the new era of Morris commercial vehicles. Of course, the new BEV was conceived and engineered in England and is a vehicle that is supposed to be a modern interpretation of a timeless British design. At that time, the Morris J-type was virtually the ultimate, legendary British Van. It was shown to 1948 at Earls Court in London for the first time and combined a practical pickup truck with a charming design.

And besides the practicality and the high reliability, the J-type was especially loved for the distinctive and appealing design. The new variant is now to combine technological progress with innovative technology and are therefore used only high-quality materials with well-known craftsmanship. The New Morris JE Bulli has a particularly high functionality, coupled with an acceptable range according to the manufacturer. The result is a battery-electric commercial vehicle for business and consumer applications of all kinds. The scanned prototype is a fully functional and field-tested vehicle that, if affordable, will certainly have a large catch radius.

Morris J-Type was built from 1949 to 1960

The old Morris J-Type was built from 1949 to 1960 and the first teaser pictures of the new one are convincing as we find. The Morris JE leans heavily on the design of the J-Type and even has the cool saloon doors at the rear. In addition a strongly vaulted roof and wide issued wheel arches. The side disc is very wide and in front there is an indicated grille and freestanding headlights. Unfortunately, little is known about the technique of Morris JE. The range is given with about 75 kilometers and as a top speed to be practicable 56 km / h. If we receive timely information, there is of course an update for this report.
