And once again we have news from Pandem rocketbunny tra-kyoto who like to deal with the Datsun brand. After we already got a bodykit for the Japanese tuner 620 pickup as well as the 240Z The company now presents a conversion kit for the first virtual images 521 pickup. A vehicle that is not really known in Europe but still enjoys high numbers and popularity in Japan. The 521 is the official successor to the 520 (1965-1972) and was sold from the summer of 1968. The main differences compared to the predecessor were the “flat-deck” look with the hood flattened towards the front, new fenders and a different radiator grille. It was also available with a double cab and, for the US market, even with a 95 hp / 70 kW L16 four-cylinder. So much for that ...
And that's exactly what Pandem wants a widebody kit with front spoiler, wheel arch extensions all around, modified bumpers (rear with new taillights) and roll cage on the truck bed. The virtual presentation vehicle also got black 15 inch aluminum wheels with extreme lowbed and Toyo tires as well as a huge lowering and a modified brake system. Also an extreme lowering is installed and here could even an Airride air suspension come into play or a special coilover suspension (possibly with a lift kit).
Pandem will most likely seek only to make changes to the body and so the other modifications would always be the task of each tuner. We are already looking forward to the first real vehicle!
