What is an Audi doing? RS out? Of course, primarily the performance, which is significantly higher than the production vehicle. Various technical changes and an often more elegant interior as well as special aluminum rims are also an indication of sitting in an RS. The visual highlight are definitely the changes to the body that affect both bumpers and also the front and rear fenders on almost every RS. But unfortunately this is only the case with Audi and not with the sister company Skoda! The Czechs also offer an RS, but here the abbreviation only refers to changes in performance, engine power and various changes in the interior. There are no significant changes to the body ex works. But the owner of this Skoda Octavia RS also wanted to look right on RS and therefore commissioned the team from KTS-Karosserietechnik to give his Octavia a unique RS widebody style.
⚠ everything in elaborate handwork ⚠
And this project was put into action absolutely spectacular! But not with any screwed on Liberty Walk Components but with seamlessly integrated into the body extensions. The front fenders have widened KTS per side by a hefty 5cm and of course, the front bumper has been adjusted accordingly. And in the back, too, the widebody kit has been adopted, widening the side panels per side by a full 6 cm. The rear doors (3,5 cm per side) were adapted to ensure a seamless transition to the widened side panels. The side skirts could not remain standard because they would fit neither on the front fender nor on the side panels at the back. So you have also widened the sills and provided with a flush transition to the side panel and gives the widebody appearance of the RS an absolutely harmonious lines. Finally, the rear skirt had to be adjusted accordingly to make the overall impression look perfect.
could also come from the factory
Small changes like the cleaved bonnet and tailgate round off the appearance. While a standard Octavia is 1,77 m wide at the rear, the KTS version is a whopping 1,89 m and is therefore only about 4 cm narrower than a current Audi RS6 C7 Avant. The fenders, which have now grown significantly, naturally also require a set of precisely fitting aluminum rims. Here the decision was made for Vorsteiner Alus in the dimensions 9,5 × 19 ET 20 on the front axle and lush 11 × 19 ET 15 on the rear axle. The new rims are fitted with 285/30 R19 Hankook tires. Please keep in mind that this is a Skoda Octavia and not an Audi RS! The KTS Octavia RS is definitely an absolute one-off and should cause a lot of attention and astonish Skoda connoisseurs in particular. If we get more information about the modifications, there will of course, as always, be an update for this report.
