Venom F5 Roadster: if the roof is missing with 1.842 hp!

According to the closed version of Hennessey Venom F5 hypercar there is now also officially the Venom F5 as Roadster. And the Texans were already thinking about it in the spring of 2019. And now the Roadster is a reality and allows you to enjoy the almost 1.900 hp with the top down. The open temptation can be seen today at the auto show “The Quail” at Monterey Car Week. And of course the Roadster also wears it V8 "Fury" engine with a power of 1.817 HP in the rear. That's about the equivalent 1.842 PS, which the 6,6-liter BiTurbo generates. It is of course identical to that of the Venom F5 Coupé. Hennessey says the Venom F5 Roadster is "the fastest and most powerful convertible in the world". And we immediately believe that.

He reached 265,6 miles per hour (427,4 kilometers per hour) quickly. Visually, the F5 Roadster looks like the coupe. However, the roof is a one-piece, removable one roof panel made of carbon fiber, which can also be seen in the pictures. The cover is insulated and has a Alcantara upholstery included. According to Hennessey, it weighs just 18 pounds (about 8 kg) and comes with a merino wool holdall. There is also a special one Plinth, with a design inspired by the car, which allows it to be stored in the garage.

The rear of the F5 Roadster shows a new one slices tempered glass that reveals the engine. According to Hennesey, the material is actually designed for jet engines and can withstand temperatures of over 540 degrees Celsius. The Venom F5 Roadster weighs just under 1.406 kilograms and is therefore almost 50 kg heavier than the coupé (1.360 kilograms). Hennessey only builds 30 vehicles from the Venom F5 Roadster and thus six more than from the coupe. Production will begin in late 2022 and prices will start at $3 million. For comparison: The coupe has a base price of $2,1 million.
