Electric mobility is on the rise, and while most people immediately think of EVs, there is a dynamic and rapidly growing niche that is often overlooked: Electric two-wheelers. Compact, agile and eco-friendly, the machines are perfect for the urban environment and offer an impressive mix of efficiency and style. HORWIN Europe's Super SOCO electric motorcycle is a prime example. With its sleek design and advanced technology features, it shows that e-mobility can not only take place on four wheels. It is not only an answer to urban traffic problems, but also a stylish statement.
What does the Super SOCO offer?
The Super SOCO electric two-wheeler is not a typical replica moped. It is compact, light, and still powerful. Here is an overview of the most important technical data:
- models: Two variants are available, one corresponding to the 50 cc and the other to the 125 cc power.
- Price: The 125cc variant costs €3.900, which makes it only €1.000 more expensive than its 50cc sister.
- Material: The frame is made from a robust mix of aluminum and steel, which contributes to both weight savings and vehicle flexibility.
- Weight: With only about 80 kg it is a lightweight, ideal for turning maneuvers in the city.
- Driving modes: There are three - "Eco" "Normal" and "Sport". Each mode has different levels of acceleration depending on driving needs.
- Reach: With a battery charge of 96%, the display shows ranges of 96 km, 79 km and 57 km for the different modes. With a additional battery pack you can even drive up to 160 km far.
- Speed: While the 50 cm³ variant reaches a top speed of 60 km/h, the 125 cm³ version can accelerate to up to 120 km/h. However, there is also a throttled version that reaches 45 km/h.
- Engine: A powerful electric motor from Bosch with an impressive 120 Nm torque provides the necessary thrust.
- Extras: Recuperation technology and LED lights are included as standard.
Super SOCO's smart extras
When driving the Super SOCO, you will notice a few smart features. One Bluetooth connection enables linking with a smartphone and an app. This allows drivers to call up the data from the on-board computer and the status of the moped Real time track. Another plus is the keyless operation, which is already standard in many cars. Despite all the advantages, there are also points of criticism. Keyless operation could make theft easier if the vehicle is attacked by those with the right equipment and software.
The conclusion: An eMoped that makes an impression
The Super SOCO is more than just a simple alternative to an e-bike or moped. It delivers the look and feel of a real motorcycle but with the added bonus of electrification. And while it's smaller than most traditional motorcycles, it makes up for the difference with its agile handling and stylish design. An impressive piece of technology from Austria that will surely find its fans. Pictures show the Super Soco TS Street Hunter
