[Display]

If you want to make a road trip in this country, you have many options. More than 150 holiday routes convince in Germany. Many of the national roads show the region or follow very specific themes, from history to viticulture to fairy tales. If you still need suggestions for your summer vacation, here are the most beautiful routes. If you decide to stay in Germany, it doesn't have to be the autobahn to reach your destination. Rather shift down a gear and enjoy the wonderful area. Below are a few Road Tripsthat exist in Germany and are fantastic.

German Fairy Tale Route:

This 600 km route traces the life and fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm. It begins in the city of Hanau, where the brothers were born, or rather at the Neustadt town hall, at the national monument, and ends in the north, more precisely in Bremerhaven. Marburg is also on the route, where the brothers began studying, and Kassel, where the museum collects many fairy tales and commemorates their work. The Frau Holle story is told in Hessisch Lichtenau in the historic town hall and in Hamelin squeaks and trills the mechanical Pied Piper Theater.

Rhine route: Cologne to Mainz:

Along the Rhine you pass towns, castles, palaces and wine villages worth seeing. The Rhine gorge between Koblenz and Bingen is particularly impressive, with deep incisions between the high gorges. There is a lot going on on the way: Attractions such as the Deutsches Eck in Koblenz, the Loreley, the Marksburg and the world's largest cold water geyser are on the Rhine route.

German Alpine Road:

Assuming there was a route where convertible driving was invented, this is it. The Alpine Road meanders along 450 kilometers of lakes and mountains from Lindau to Berchtesgaden. Travelers can stroll in the Allgäu, in the Faffenwinkel and in the Zugspitzland, visit the Ettal monastery and the royal castle near Füssen and swim in the Tegernsee or the Chiemsee. Lesser-known destinations are also worth a visit. For example the only hat museum in Lindenberg in Bavaria. Furthermore, the facade paintings and the balconies decorated with flowers are interesting in Nußdorf am Inn.

Romantic Roads:

Germany's oldest and best-known holiday route takes you from Würzburg to Füssen. Since the 1950s, she has shaped the image of Germany with US citizens and Japanese. Rothenburg with Tauber's half-timbered houses, Hohenschwangau Castle, the Rococo splendor of the Wieskirche and Neuschwanstein Castle - for many this is the real "Germany". Many buses follow the brown signs from the Main river to the Alpine landscape. If you want to admire the charm of the Tauber Valley, the Lechrain or the Nördlinger Riese, you can take the 460 km long D9 cycle path or hike along its hiking trails.

German Wine Route:

There are many wine routes. The original starts at the German Wine Gate in Schwaigenlechtenbach and runs 85 kilometers along the Vorderpfalz to the German Wine Route in the Bockenheim area. On the way you will see castles such as Hanbach Castle and Wachtenburg Castle.

Volcano Road:

There are no longer any lava flows through the Eifel, but there are still traces of the last eruption. The Volcano Trail stretches 280 kilometers past craters, cinder cones and geysers. The starting point is the Laacher See. This is a water-filled crater, a remnant of a major eruption that took place 13.000 years ago. In the lava dome in Mendig and in the volcano museum in Down you can experience the driving force that raged in the Eifel back then. Among other things, these are multimedia eruptions. Long breaks are worthwhile in many maars. When the magma met water, the depression was ruptured by exploding water vapor. Now there are beautiful lakes.

Saxon-Bohemian Silver Route:

There are also big names in the Ore Mountains. These include "Gnade Gottes" and "Herkules-Frisch-Glück", which are two of the many show mines that are among the most beautiful road trips in Germany along the 275 km long Silver Route. Between the cities of Zwickau and Dresden lies the mining museum, the mineral collection and an educational trail. The mountain towns of Schwarzenberg and Schlettau converge on this route. The Silver Road branch leads directly to the Czech side of the Ore Mountains, to the winter sports resort of Boží Dar with its tunnels and Ostrov, where a chateau offers a glimpse of past wealth.

German avenue:

From the list of interesting road trips through Germany, one has the nickname, the "holiday route of superlatives". No wonder, since the route stretches across ten federal states. It is a veritable landscape of avenues with a length of over 2.900 km. In the shade of the canopy, tourists drive from Rügen down to Lake Constance. Since 2009, the path has led through the well-known Teutoburg Forest, the Bergisches Land and the Münsterland. The working group established a boulevard after reunification to ensure the protection of all trees along the route and to continue planting new trees. Worth a stop are Wittenberg and Wartburg.

Nordic UNESCO World Heritage Route:

A 557 km tour of the north along the coast is packed with cultural and scenic highlights from the UNESCO World Heritage List. Sights such as the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site, which represents the culture of the Hanseatic cities such as Wismar, Lübeck and Stralsund. There are not only selected, excellent natural landscapes and national parks here.

Saphe traffic alarm: don't get flashed!

Danger zones, speed measurements & Co.! There is definitely a lot going on when you go on holiday, especially during the holiday season. The manufacturer saphe offers for these situations so-called traffic alert in different versions. There is the classic one Saphe OnePlus, the Saphe Drive Mini and the cheapest model Saphe MC for the motorcycle. Which model is the right one depends on individual needs and also on which look you prefer in your own vehicle. The most inconspicuous model is clearly the Saphe MC traffic alarm. However, it is also less suitable for the car than the motorcycle. However, you can use it in both vehicles. What exactly the devices can do is explained in the articles below and in the following video.
