Auto tuner versus police? A try in Nuremberg!

From the point of view of many tuners, the police are not exactly popular. After all, she always has something to complain about in the chic souped-up cars and sometimes pulls them all in completely. And that's usually with a high one Fines (€) and points connected in Flensburg. So it can really spoil the fun of his hobby for some loving member of the scene, who is after a long and arduous modification on the car, in which he is finally back on the road, which is why it is no wonder if one or the other of us does it It gets the impression that the police are lurking behind every bush, just to pull the money out of people's pockets. In the past, this was also often announced, so that this opinion was not ignored by the officials.

Meeting with the police

In order to show that this is not the case and that the actions of the police are by no means groundless or evil, the Nuremberg police invited the representatives of the tuning scene to a kind of question-and-answer meeting, at which they answered the questions of the car tuners received and explained the reasons for the persistent action of the officials.

Tuning scene endangers general traffic safety

In the past year alone, the officials pulled a total of 103 vehicles from traffic. This is partly due to manipulated undercarriages and other significant defects that would have a marked impact on traffic safety. In all of these cases, the suspicions of the police officers on the spot were confirmed by a subsequent extensive inspection of the vehicles that were initially confiscated.

Police and Dekra employees as contacts

In addition to the police officers, Dekra full-time professionals also took part in the meeting to provide professional answers to questions from the tuners. And there were some questions. So topics became as necessary ground clearance or tinted slices and lrear lights discussed lively. And one question was also interesting: What happens when all conversions have been approved by the expert, but which is not yet in the vehicle registration document because of Corona?

Popular meeting places of the tuners in danger?

However, not only technically explosive topics were brought up. The concerns about the popular Nuremberg meeting points were also discussed. So it is no secret in the eyes of the police that the scene likes to meet at Europakai and in front of the stone grandstand. Discussions therefore wanted to know whether the police could step in and boycott these meeting points. Priority checks carried out by the officials probably caused concern. Here, however, the officials were able to appease by declaring that the controls and the associated relocation were not primarily aimed at the autotuners, but above all at the autoposer and the illegal racing scene. As long as the car tuners adhered to the rules and the conversions on their cars would coordinate with the Dekra, they had nothing to fear. Overall, the discussion was peaceful and at a technically high level, so that the event as a whole should be interpreted as a successful offer from the law enforcement officers.
