The company AMG is an 100% subsidiary of Daimler AG in the Swabian town of Affalterbach. Hans Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher founded the company on June 1, 1967 in Großaspach. The two letters of the surname of the founders and the original company headquarters resulted in “AMG”. The AMG is valued worldwide for its highly dynamic, exclusive and efficient driving pleasure.
