Car interior cleaning - don't forget the trunk!

Forget about the spring cleaning from the car not the trunk! After a visit to the car wash and cleaning the interior, drivers should also inspect the trunk. The TÜV Süd is currently warning that dirt and moisture often collect in the spare wheel well in particular. But the trunk often not only needs cleaning, but also clearing out. Winter equipment such as snow chains, snow shovels, de-icers, thick gloves or even a sandbag should now be removed.

cleaning agents also have to go

The same applies to car care products such as wax, polish and car shampoo, which are better kept in the basement or garage. This even results in slight weight advantages, because TÜV Süd estimates that clearing out two to five percent of fuel can be saved. And one should also consider that high temperatures can damage the products or even make aerosol cans dangerous due to the risk of explosion.

About Thomas Wachsmuth

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
