Project Oliver Plaid: Range Rover Classic icon is revived as a restomod!

Isn't it always a pleasure to see a classic vehicle brought back to life with respect and finesse? tuner ECD Automotive Design has exactly that with one Range Rover Classic made in the 90's. With the creative name "Project Oliver Plaid“ the conversion is a successful example of what is possible when you have a vision and turn it into reality. One thing is certain: This vehicle stands out! The body is in a seductive Bentley Alpine Green held. The green varnish is a beautiful homage to the avocado green, which was popular in the 1970s. The exterior is carefully modified, with a black Underrun protection in front, a practical one roof basket and four strainers behind the wheels. And under the hood, things get really interesting: A 6.2 liter LS3 V8 engine, for which the exact performance data are unfortunately still pending from ECD, provides propulsion.

To speculate a little, Chevrolet's standard LS3 unit does perform 430 PS and 575 Nm. In addition, the roaring exhaust system is on Dual exhaust set-up by Borla Performance, which impresses with its crisp sound. The vehicle also rolls on the original axles, but now with a modern one Smart Air suspension are equipped. The whole thing is linked to a Six-speed automatic, which ensures a hassle-free, comfortable ride. And the retro charm continues inside the unique piece. The Seats are checked in green, with sides made of tan-colored nappa leather. Green Carpets and olive green Deep pile overmats complete the look and create a cozy atmosphere. And the tailor-made Center console, an in-house construction by ECD, exudes a certain luxury. In addition, the technical side of the cabin is also well done.

The dashboard was with Show beefed up by Dakota Digital to display driver information crisply and clearly. For entertainment is a Audio system installed by Blaupunkt, supported by Infinity Kappa speakers and Bluetooth connectivity for seamless music and media playback. The "Project Oliver Plaid' is a fantastic example of loving an iconic vehicle restauriert and at the same time equipped with the latest technology. It's a triumphant blend of past and present that will delight any automotive enthusiast. If we get more information about the changes to the range, there is of course an update for this report.
