When we hear the term “restomod” we inevitably have to turn to Jim and Mike Ring and your company ring Brothers think. Every year at the SEMA Auto Show, the tuner comes around the corner with at least one vehicle, and of course that is also the case this year. The brothers brought back a completely restored Chevrolet Blazer from 1971 that was nicknamed "Seaker" wearing. The basis was a K5 Blazer from 1971, which actually hit the streets as a full-size SUV. Incidentally, the Seaker is the first vehicle that the Ring brothers have planned to come with all-wheel drive. As our gallery below shows, Ringbrothers only offered sporty rear-wheel drive coupes so far.
first conversion with all-wheel drive
So now the blazer who, like all vehicles from the Ringbrothers, definitely has no equal. The vehicle was created in countless details and comes for example with specially made running boards, a completely new floor or hand-made sidewalls. The engine cover and fan cowl have also been developed on their own and contribute to a successful appearance. So that the beautiful 17-Zoll-rims with their large off-road tires fit into the wheel arches they had to be enlarged. In addition, there was also a height adjustment by a few centimeters.
There are winches in front and in the back
The rest, including the striking front, is kept as close as possible to the production vehicle. Only the WARN winches front and rear were retrofitted and also the underrun protection is completely custom. Incidentally, the interior is also unique. Here, the brothers obstruct a brown leather trim that can be found on the seats, the dashboard, the back seat and even the sun visors. A few new-fangled details such as the dashboard including navigation system, the door hinges, the door handles or the window cranks bring something present in the Oldi. Incidentally, the Seaker is powered by a V8 from General Motors, which drives all four wheels with 436 PS and four-speed automatic transmission.
with Flowmaster sports exhaust system
The eight-cylinder is audible thanks to the Flowmaster sports exhaust system, which is relatively inconspicuous. The body has been painted in a simple metallic gray and thus sets a chic contrast in terms of the tubular space frame or the cool convertible top. Both are kept in the brown of the leather interior. The loading area of the Blazer is functional and equipped with many small gimmicks such as power connection or lashing eyes. But it will really be used "hoffentlich“Never. If we receive information in a timely manner, there will of course be an update for this report, as always.
