Longer, wider, higher, that is often the motto when it comes to American pickup trucks. But not only the gigantic dimensions of the flatbed truck, but also the fat engines are less designed for European conditions. In the US, however, things are very different. Despite strict speed limits, performance and cubic capacity count far more than low fuel consumption or the lowest possible CO₂ values. So it's hardly surprising that the Big Three (Ford, GM and Dodge) are competing for the most powerful truck. Of course, this has long since arrived at the many tuning companies. And now the US tuner Hennessey Performance is presenting a gigantic RAM TRX with the suffix "Mammoth 1000 carbon edition". Let's take a close look at the vehicle now.

Carbon in abundance!

If you think that carbon elements should only be found on real sports cars, then you have to be strong now. The restyling kit on the RAM TRX includes some carbon attachments. For example lower and upper air intakes on the front, fender attachments and fake air intakes on the hood. The pickup also has a prominent power dome with additional lights and a martial one Brush Guard, also called cow catcher, which dominates the front end. Even the surrounds of the headlights and the rear lights are made of carbon to give the colossus a sporty look. Last but not least, the vehicle is also available as an ultra-fat 6×6 three-axle vehicle available, which looks like it might survive X-Day.

1000 HP fuel the beast!

unbelievable 1.000 HP (1012 hp) ensure gigantic propulsion. Unfortunately, we don't have any precise information on the maximum torque, but here too it is clearly in the four-digit range. Power is transmitted permanently to all four wheels via an automatic transmission. However, we also have no reliable information on the mileage.

Our conclusion:

  • A giant of the streets that comes across as sporty with its carbon kit. We give it a thumbs up, even if the vehicle is hardly suitable for European roads. If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed about this if you simply use our Feed subscribe to. Have fun watching the pictures and stay true to us!
