As we know, the manufacturer MG will soon return to the sports car segment. One hopes to be able to build on the success of the legendary roadster. Certainly not you have that in the back of your head MG XPower SV/SVR, which sold anything but numerous. But such a copy with few kilometers is currently being auctioned. The vehicle combines British design with Italian production and an American-origin V8 in one car. The result is one of the rarest sports cars of modern times. Of the XPower was introduced in 2002 and was based on the Chassis-cab of the De Tomaso Bigua/ Qvale Mangusta, after MG had taken over the Italian company Qvale at the time.
MG XPower SVR
He presented himself with specially made Body made of carbon fiber, with widebody wheel arches, huge Sprouting and one from Ford V8. Due to the small number of pieces, many parts from the then current vehicles were installed, such as the Headlights of a Fiat Punto, the tail lights from the Fiat coupe, the Door handles of the MG TF and the side mirror from the Rover 75. Production of the MG XPower started in 2003, but MG went bankrupt in 2005. It is believed that MG built a total of 82 vehicles including the prototypes, of which 42 were created as SVRs and only 23 survived. According to the DD Classics sales ad, this particular left-hand drive SVR was one of the last to leave the factory.
390 PS and 510 Nm torque
