2023 Eleglide M2: New battery that promises more range!

Last year we were allowed to use the pedelec Choose M1 Plus put it through its paces and while it met our expectations, there still seemed to be room for improvement. Now the successor could do that Choose M2, these deliver. The Eleglide M2, currently known as action for 819,99 € in EU warehouse from Geekmaxi is available, does not initially show many differences to its predecessor on paper. It has similar dimensions, the same weight and also the tire size of 27,5 inches as the M1 Plus. The engine performance also remains the same 250 W. The key difference, however, lies in the battery. The M2's larger battery is said to have a improved range of up to 125 km possible when using the pedal assistance, compared to the 100 km of the M1 Plus. However, it should be noted that the numbers are achieved under optimal conditions, and the actual range is partly much lower can fail.

2023 Eleglide M2: New battery that promises more range!

In Germany, the bike is included as a pedelec Pedal support up to 25 km/h authorized. There was even an optional one on the M1 Plus throttle, which provided a higher speed, but could be omitted during assembly. Loud Geekmaxi allows the M2 to speed up up to 32 km / h to increase what over that DUOTTS C29 but is still significantly less. Because the C29 even supports it up to 50 km/h (!!!), although "only" 35 km/h are specified.

In addition to the pedal support, the Choose M2 over a 24-speed Shimano gears and Disc brakes front and back. We were particularly curious about the gear shift and the pedal assistance, since these were among the criticisms of the previous model. However, we did not see any real changes in the M2 in our test. Driving over 25 km/h was and is more of a challenge with the existing gear shift.

spring-loaded front fork, removable battery etc.

The battery of the M2 is removable, unlike some other bikes where the battery is built into the frame. Other features include a sprung front fork, which can be determined according to need, and unfortunately missing fenders as well as a Taillight. However, one front light present, together with the necessary reflectors.

We were excited to be able to test the M2 and became principled not disappointed either. The battery actually lasts longer, but here in the mountains under no circumstances the mentioned 125 kilometers. tight 85 km but we still cycled with one load, which is a good value in our region.
