Just under 2 weeks ago teased and now reality! The strongest BMW 3er Touring comes once again from Buchloe and listens to the name Alpina B3 Touring! If you are looking for a potent combination with white / blue logo front and back above the BMW 3 Touring (G21) M340i xDrive you will not find it at M GmbH in Garching, but again at Alpina. With his 462 PS, he puts the 374 PS M340i in the shade. Alpina yesterday presented the B3 as a world premiere at the IAA 2019 in hall 11, where the BMW Group is represented. Under the hood sits the in-line six-cylinder engine of the B3 G21 based on the B58 engine. Of course, the engine in Buchloe has been thoroughly redesigned (Turbocharger, intake air duct, performance-oriented cooling system). The rated power of strong 462 PS reaches the engine between 5.000 and 7.000 RPM. and there is a maximum torque of 700 Newton meters.

With 500 NM, this is even available from 2.000 rpm. The full 700 NM are then at the latest from 3.000 rpm. at the start and are distributed to all 21 wheels with the help of the ZF eight-speed Switchtronic including electronically controlled rear axle locking differential and the standard xDrive all-wheel drive of the G4. The exact acceleration values are currently not yet available, but we expect a sprint to 100 km / h in almost exactly 4 seconds. And the B200 will probably have broken the 3 mark in less than 12 seconds. The top speed of over 300 km / h is typically Alpina without any limits. Visually, the B3 Touring G21 "State of the art" is restrained.

There is the well-known front spoiler lip with Alpina lettering, to an exhaust system with four tailpipes and the most prominent feature outside are the noble Alpina rims in 19 or inches. At the IAA in Frankfurt, there was a vehicle in the 20 Custom-Rims in Classic Design now even bring a lockable hub cap. Another example with 19 inch big Dynamic rims. Both cars have the optional Alpina logo on the sides. Due to the adaptive sports suspension with Eibach springs, special additional springs and the larger stabilizers, the wheels fit perfectly in the wheel arch. And also the brake behind it is significantly revised. For example, there are 395-mm-discs in front to ensure a proper response. Especially in combination with the well-known alpine green, the B3 is thus extremely successful as we find it. By the way, every B3 carries the M Sport package as a basis.
Instrument display with special Alpina graphics
With the spoiler lip at the front, it is significantly sportier than "the normal" apron of the G20 / G21 and underlines the dynamic appearance of the B3. Inside, the B3 features an Alpina sports steering wheel, emblems in the seats and the digital instrument display also has special Alpina graphics. And the new BMW Alpina B3 G20 Sedan is also in the starting blocks. It will be held from Thursday, October 24th, 2019 to Monday, November 4th, 2019 on the Tokyo Motor Show presents.
