Toyota is the largest vehicle manufacturer in the world and with more than ten million vehicles produced is still ahead of Volkswagen AG. The Japanese company was founded in 1937 and is also one of the largest companies in the world. Because the entire Toyota group consists of 522 subsidiaries and has more than 360.000 employees. In motorsport, the Japanese car manufacturer scored successes in Formula 1 and in the legendary 24-hour race in Le Mans.
