Cars Tripping is a rarity, especially in the Chinese tuning scene, where the interior can be a little more opulent and colorful. Many tuned cars from the Middle Kingdom often stand out due to artistically decorated interiors, which appear completely overloaded by European standards. Just think of it various Honda models, which we have already introduced, which probably do not meet everyone's taste and, above all, appear very bizarre in the interior. But that doesn't always have to be the case when it comes to tuning from China, because it can be done very differently. As with the stripped Lynk & Co. 03, a Chinese notchback sedan which has already achieved cult status in its home market, as do all models from Lynk & Co., the youthful, progressive brand of Geely group. Due to the fact that the technology of the Swedish sister company Volvo is hidden under the sheet metal, the brand also enjoys a high reputation, and it should only be a matter of time before you can buy a Lynk & Co. in Europe as well, without having to do a gray import. Until then you can, for example, sweeten the waiting time with this modified copy of the sedan named 03.

externally the foiling is striking

When you see the Lynk & Co. standing like that and don't look into the interior, the first thing you notice is the foiling with the FAST4WARD lettering and the 008 as the start number. This is supposed to bring luck, since 8 is a lucky number in China. The black foiled bonnet, which ensures that the headlights of the vehicle are barely visible, sets visual accents, and the dark gray alloy wheels, which are almost black, also contribute to the sporty look of the Chinese sedan. As a small loosening up, there are yellow elements both on the bonnet and at the rear, which ideally serve as a complementary contrast to the black front. This reminds us a little of the classic Opel motorsport design of the 1980s.

Completely empty inside.

The interior, on the other hand, is completely stripped, which transforms the once four-seat sedan into a monoposto, in which the driver takes a seat on a racing bucket seat. Since then, nothing has been left of the former comfort of the 03, as it was completely trimmed to save weight in order to achieve the fastest possible times on a circuit or on the quarter mile.

Nothing has been changed in terms of engine technology.

The Lynk & Co. 4, tuned by the tuner FAST03WARD, is powered by a 1,5-liter three-cylinder turbo gasoline engine with a hefty 180 hp, which transfers its power to the front wheels using a 7-speed dual clutch transmission. The maximum torque is 265 Newton meters, which means that the compact sedan is quite good in the forage. With a top speed of 205 km / h and an acceleration from 0 to 100 in 7,9 seconds, you can keep up well on the motorway, because in contrast to its sister company and platform donor Volvo, Lynk & Co. still completely dispenses with one electronic limitation to 180 kilometers per hour.

Who is a stripped car for?

At first you wonder why a completely bare interior makes sense in a four-door sedan. The sense and purpose is not really revealed to us either, unless we want to show what a Lynk & Co. 03 can do on a quarter mile or a circuit. If you want to take a closer look at the vehicle, we recommend, as always, the picture gallery at the end of the text. If we receive information on further changes in a timely manner, there will of course be an update for this report. You will be informed about this if you simply use our Feed subscribe to.
