For a long time, we have nothing from the US tuner Saleen (Saleen Factory) belongs. But the California-based company has been running a new vehicle for almost a year. Curtain up for the Saleen S302 Black Label which is based on the current Ford Mustang. It is pretty much the opposite of the "Mini-Mustang" which, with its 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder and comfortable 290 PS & 440 Nm torque, has nothing to do with a Mustang for many. And we are of the same opinion, because a Mustang has to have a V8! And tuner Saleen sees it that way and uses the pony with the 5-liter TI-VCT engine as the base vehicle. After the transformation to the S302 Black Label, it brings even more power than that Shelby GT 500 with and is brand new Shelby American GT500 Dragon Snake almost on par. And he is not even much more expensive.

Saleen wants a good 70.000 Euro (78.495 US-Dollar) for the AMI which means a plus of about 500 Dollar compared to the Shelby GT8.000. For the engine to achieve the heavy yield, Saleen is building a new one compressors and other components such as modified connecting rods and pistons, a larger one aspiration and of course a specially adapted sports exhaust system. In addition, the cooling system has been reworked and so, for example, a special oil cooler is used. Visually, however, you hold back against the GT500. The most striking feature is probably the modified front with the sporty apron and the distinctive grille, there are fenders with gills and side skirts and in addition a new hood with air vents and Power Dome, At the rear there is a sporty diffuser, a large spoiler and one between the taillights Heckblende with Saleen lettering. The photo vehicle in chic orange is placed on 20 inch 5 spoke rims and behind it a high-performance sports brake system with 6-piston front calipers and slotted and perforated brake discs.

The suspension comes from Racecraft and there are also some changes in the cab. Basically, the vehicle corresponds to a Mustang in the premium version, but also receives an individual leather trim with contrasting stitching, Saleen badges on the headrests and a new steering wheel is installed on request.
