The holistic "Fit & Healthy" approach of ENERGIZING comfort control also makes the different comfort systems tangible at the touch of a button or by voice command and bundles them in programs to create worlds of experience.
Mercedes-Benz coupe and convertible customers appreciate the automatic belt feeders for a long time. In the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, the rear passengers of a sedan can now also benefit from this convenience for the first time. The belt feeder indirectly prompts you to buckle up and at the same time makes this process more convenient. A comfortable seated position that has already been assumed does not have to be left to strap on. The belt feeder is integrated in the adjustable backrest of the comfort individual seats and is therefore always in the right position for the passenger. After the passenger has taken a seat on one of the outer rear seats or in combination with the MBUX interior assistant (see separate chapter), they extend automatically. As soon as the seat belt buckle tongue is engaged, or after a certain period of time, the seat belt feeder moves back into the operating position, while it is deactivated while driving.
A special feature of the Mercedes-Maybach is the Calf massage in the rear It stimulates blood circulation and prevents fatigue. The calf massage is available as part of the rear seating comfort package for the standard executive seats. These also have a calf support that is adjustable in length and swivel range.
The premier in the Mercedes-Maybach adaptive rear lighting. In several ways, it adapts to the wishes of the occupants: In addition to the brightness, the size and position of the light spot can also be adjusted. At the same time, a wide spread between precise work and relaxed lounge light is possible. The setting of the light color also automatically follows the human daily rhythm. The adaptive rear lighting includes light strips in the headliner and reading lights in the rear right and left handles. The adaptive rear lighting in combination with the MBUX interior assistant in the rear is particularly attractive.
Chilled drinks and food within easy reach of the rear passengers make this optional refrigerated compartment in the rear armrest. The temperature can be set using the illuminated control panel. The cooling compartment holds ten liters and can be removed. The ultimate Mercedes-Maybach special equipment has the code B65 - silver-plated champagne goblets. A tailor-made insert in the storage compartment and two brackets in the center console secure the goblets securely, even while driving.
In the new S-Class, Mercedes-Benz has that ENERGIZING comfort control fundamentally further developed. Of course, the passengers of the Mercedes-Maybach also benefit from this. Innovations such as a massage based on vibration motors in the seat cushion and the structure-borne sound transmission of the Burmester® High-end 4D surround sound systems are integrated into the ENERGIZING comfort control. So deep tones can be experienced.
The direct reproduction of the structure-borne sound in the seats adds another level to the three-dimensional listening experience - the 4D sound, inspired by the singing bowl massage. The perceptible intensity of the sound can be set individually for each seat. The music has an even more emotional effect due to the tangible component. For this purpose, two structure-borne sound converters (exciters) are integrated into the backrest of each seat.
The ENERGIZING COACH even suggests a suitable vitalization or wellness program based on vehicle and trip information. If the driver wears a suitable wearable, the information on sleep quality and stress level is also incorporated into his intelligent algorithm.
Two ENERGIZING packages are offered for the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class with the following equipment:
- The ENERGIZING package at the front includes ENERGIZING COMFORT, ENERGIZING COACH, AIR-BALANCE package, warmth-comfort package and active multicontour seat package.
- The ENERGIZING rear package extends the ENERGIZING comfort control to the rear seats. It includes air conditioning in the rear and the rear seat comfort package. This package requires the special equipment MBUX high-end rear entertainment.
