Who is it opposite one VW Amarok, the  Nissan Navara or the Mercedes X class at least would like to get a number larger than that? F or the Dodge Ram not over. And the latter have now become the boys of the German Motors & Engineering GmbH buttoned up and show with the Dodge RAM 1500 "Offroad Edition" a monster that is not only on 37 inch big off-road tires, but also was also significantly higher. The basis for the conversion is the current Dodge RAM 1500 Sport Crew Cab was used for the tuning. As you know, the tuner from Schkeuditz specializes in performance enhancements and of course a performance bonus in the Ram was not missing.

He got a Edelbrock compressor kit with approval installed in combination with a likewise TÜV approved 76mm flap exhaust system (Can be operated using a remote control with a display on the entertainment system) from Kat increases the power of the 5,7-liter HEMI-V8 to a whopping 550 PS & 718 NM. The additional air-water-air charge air cooling system with a separate cooling circuit and electric coolant pump also contributes to the increased output, and the compressor can do even more if required. According to GME, it can increase the power to up to 900 hp, but of course significant changes to the hardware of the engine and the gearbox etc. are required. But now also what makes the RAM the Offroad Edition!

GME, in combination with adapted subframes, steering knuckles and suspension parts, builds a performance suspension from off-road specialist FOX with height-adjustable struts and external oil reservoirs. In addition, there were other 4 cm raising by means of additional spacers of a "Bodylift" -Kits and most important feature is of course the wheelset. The forged wheels chosen here are produced by GME and come to the RAM in the format 12 × 20 inches all around. Equipped is the wheelset with coarse-grained Toyo off-road tires in the format 37 × 13,50R20 inches and this alone achieves an increase in body by 5 centimeters. In combination with the chassis modifications, the Dodge RAM 1500 "Offroad Edition" is a whopping 24 cm higher than the series and gets a track width of 2,23 meters. Of course, the transmission control unit and the speedometer have to be adapted so that everything can handle each other. GME has also taken over this. Mandatory in Germany, and absolutely necessary for the environment, is the complete coverage of the rolling surface of the tire.

Since the factory body due to the fat slippers does not create more built GME Radlaufverbreiterungen with screw optics (similar to those of the well-known Liberty Walk widebody kits - but only as a dummy) which of course also have TÜV approval. And so that people under 2 meters tall can also reach the cabin of the AMI, there were also automatically extendable running boards that make climbing the interior much easier. Many small details such as the black xenon headlights, the dark radiator grille with Dark Chrome X grilles, the cover for the loading area connected to the central locking system or the remote rod antenna ex works round off the visual appearance impressively. If we receive timely information on further changes not mentioned before, there will of course be an update for this report.
