The absolute highlight in the SUV area for me at the moment is the Mercedes GLE Coupe, which in my opinion has been modified just as BMW did with the old one BMW X6 E71 should have done. While the current X6 F16 is quite good to look at, I am of the opinion that it has been "defused" on many corners and edges and somehow no longer looks as brawny as the old version. I feel it that way, especially at the rear and the rear side, but maybe I'm the only one there. 🙂 For me, the new GLE starts right there, a little more massive, a little beefier and a little fatter! As if you had inflated the X6 again, the GLE is extremely full. If you then take the bullet to your chest and give it a set of 22 inch MEC Design aluminum rims in black, in my opinion everything is perfect. The guys around the MEC Design team published the project yesterday evening and of course we have to show you the tuned GLE. After the tuning cure that the snow-white GLE (internal C292) was allowed to endure, it is now more exciting, more individual and also more dynamic than the production version and convinces with subtle tuning in exactly the right places. If you are thinking of buying a GLE Coupe in the future or already own one, MEC Design is certainly an interesting starting point when it comes to differentiating the vehicle from the production model. As for the changes made to the optics or the technology, we have already been able to find out the first details. As usual, we have listed what we know below in a summary. If you discover any further changes that we haven't listed, just use the comment box and let us know!

Ps. If you have more tuned vehicles like this one Mercedes CL63 AMG or even the Mercedes W205 C63's AMG from MEC design just look at the photo hint below on the tuner name!

  • MEC design lowering by 20mm
  • darkened windows all around
  • MEC design floor mats
  • MEC design steering wheel
  • possibly a performance increase - (chip tuning, tuning box, compressor or turbo conversion, NOS etc. - info is pending)
  • possibly a sports exhaust system (info is still pending)
  • Bodykit is in the works and will be released in summer 2016

Certainly, new information and certainly new pictures and videos will soon be online. As soon as this is the case, we will of course put it online and inform you about it.
