A fairly rare guest in the field of tuning is definitely the current Mercedes S-Class of the W222 model series. Somehow understandable, on the one hand you should have at least € 80.000 over for the smallest model, which is more or less equipped with “basic equipment”, and on the other hand, the group of users of an S-Class should not match the average age of a tuning maniac. But we would like to show you today that there is another way, because a private tuner has chosen this type of W222 and presented his vehicle to the “Hawk'n'Poke” magazine. Since we regularly visit the website of the online magazine, the big black S-Class has of course not gone unnoticed.
I think the car still has exactly the understatement that it needs in a luxury home even after its tuning cure. Incidentally, the S-Class was not refined by a special tuning company (tuner) but, as already mentioned, by a private tuning screwdriver whose passion & hobby is clearly dedicated to his S-Class and the topic of "tuning". Of course, there is at least one workshop in the background that made the changes for this vehicle too, that should be clear! But it's just not a standard project like the one for example Brabus variants from the rim to the rear spoiler has been given one and the same accessory manufacturer. The S-Class was equipped with a golden set of Rotiform MHG alloy wheels in 21 inches that somehow manage to somehow manage the balancing act between swank and series.
Personally, I like such subtle conversions very much and although the rims are extremely conspicuous, I think they fit well into the overall picture. So that the Nitto tires in the format 245/35 at the front and wide 285/30 at the rear fit properly with the wheel arches, the original air suspension of the S-Class was modified and the car lowered by a good 40mm. There wasn't much more to do and the car is there as it is currently - discreet but clearly "not in series"! What we have learned we have listed below for you in a summary.
